Kohl Wins Turkish Bride for Son

ISTANBUL -- Former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl visited Turkey at the weekend to win the hand of a Turkish woman in marriage for his son Peter. An aide for Turkish businessman Kemal Sozen told Reuters on Wednesday that Kohl had spent two days in Istanbul and had won permission for his son to marry Elif Sozen. "It's as the papers say it is. Congratulations are in order," the aide told Reuters.
